last weekend was pretty special. nothing crazy, just makes me smile looking back at it. we had a couple house showings (cue the last minute tidying and shoving things in closets), but the weather was amazing so we didn’t mind escaping the house for a while. it was chris’ birthday too, so we had a blast taking him out to celebrate. brunch, cocktails, good food, sweet kids playing crazy 8’s…one of those weekends you just want to soak up forever.

my favorite quote: remy: ‘we can go to that park we saw before brunch’, me: ‘well, it’s a school and there was a gate. even though it was left open, maybe it was an accident and they don’t want us in there.’ remy: ‘there are no accidents.’ deep, my boy, deep.
my favorite recipe: marinated chicken legs. they boys love chicken legs, something about eating it with their hands, and this version was amazing! 8-10 chicken legs, marinated for at least a couple hours in (blend 1 head of garlic (peeled cloves), juice of 1 lemon, 1/3 cup olive oil, 1 medium onion, salt and pepper). bake at 400 for 45mins, flip, bake 15 more mins.
my favorite outfit: i’m loving the fit (and price) of these new jeans. pretty sure i’ll be wearing them straight through summer. and denim on denim is such an easy way to ease into spring – keeping it light here!
